Laura Hughes, PsyD

Dr. Hughes is an experienced clinical neuropsychologist. She has worked with people of all ages in many different settings including hospitals, private practice, military, academic and forensic settings. She trained in Adlerian psychology, a humanistic perspective – problems are seen as interpersonal in nature, reducing loneliness and learning to create healthy and satisfying relationships with oneself and others is a primary goal. She obtained specialty training in cognitive behavior therapy and has worked extensively with people with chronic illness, chronic pain, and recovery from illness or injury. She obtained a post-doctoral specialization in neuropsychology. A particular area of interest is prevention of dementia and cognitive decline.

Dr. Hughes has been working for Monument Health in the Neuropsychology Department for almost ten years and is thrilled to be moving into private practice to further expand her professional interests as of January 1, 2022. Calm, competent, and caring, Dr. Hughes will help you thrive despite whatever challenges you may be facing.
