Erika grew up in the Black Hills and obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Dakota and master’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota. She has provided mental health services in the Rapid City community for several years. Erika has experience working with children and families with crisis and adjustment issues, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and individuals with chronic pain and other medical issues. Erika offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy, specializing in group therapy for eating and weight loss issues. Besides these specialty areas, Erika is passionate about helping clients navigate a range of life stressors and mental health issues; she is committed to meeting clients where they are at. Erika uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Neuroplasticity Training, Trauma Therapy, Relational Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused methods, among others, in her work. Erika is licensed as a clinical social worker (CSW-PIP) and qualified mental health professional (QMHP) in the state of South Dakota.
